Absorbed Glass Mat Batteries
Absorbed Glass Mat batteries are unique in their construction since its invention in the 1980’s. The separators between the positive and negative plates inside the batteries is made as a thin ultra-fine fiberglass mat. Its purpose is to separate the plates and prevent technical short circuits in the battery. They are also saturating the acid of the battery for almost 95%. AGM batteries can perform high current in short time periods and are superior in such applications, which qualifies them to be ideal solutions for critical UPS-Systems.
